The Story
Dave was an 8-year-old boy who had a near-death experience from a severe asthma attack. The attack was triggered by an unknown allergy to a long-haired cat at his aunt's house where he was staying overnight. He petted the cat while watching cartoons, used his inhaler repeatedly until it ran out, woke his aunt, and they drove to his grandparents' house. He collapsed outside, and an ambulance rushed him to the hospital where his heart and brain shut down. During the NDE, Dave entered neutral darkness like space. He saw a distant light that grew closer and larger until it filled his view. The light came with beautiful music like a choir singing two notes. He then woke up in the hospital. After the NDE, Dave started a lifelong quest to explore consciousness, existence, and reality. He hosts a podcast interviewing NDE experiencers and pursues passions like skateboarding to feed his soul.

This NDE features a severe medical crisis with clinical death but contains no veridical perceptions of the physical world, only subjective experiences of darkness, light, and sound. The absence of any specific, verifiable, or corroborated details about inaccessible events severely limits evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
