Kathy Whinnings, a professor of religious education, social justice, and neuroscience, as well as a senior administrator and community activist, had a near-death experience due to a sudden drop in blood pressure during an ambulance transfer for rehabilitation after suffering multiple strokes starting December 5, 2020. During the NDE, she heard mention of an interreligious entrance. She walked around a vibrant red barn on a dairy farm with gleaming silver equipment. She practiced seeking and giving forgiveness, watched her thoughts and words to avoid harm, deepened her prayer life, and became more spiritually attuned, promoting unconditional love and non-judgment in daily interactions and global issues.
