The Story
Jim Bruton, a pilot and former war journalist, had a near-death experience after crashing his homemade airplane on October 6, 2016. The plane lost power during a test flight, and he hit trees near a lake, suffering broken ribs, ruptured lungs, leg fractures, and other injuries. Doctors put him into a coma for surgeries. During the NDE, Jim appeared on a concrete terrace in an abandoned, post-apocalyptic city called the 'in-between.' He felt nausea and saw an egg-shaped sculpture with sector gears showing future probabilities. A disembodied voice explained the gears as thoughts, words, or actions, and he removed painful ones to eliminate bad choices. He learned about consequences, grace, and the need to focus on relationships. He saw a vision of his daughter with grandchildren and chose to return. After the NDE, Jim changed deeply. He lost interest in his old adventurous life and gained strong empathy and intuition. He experienced synchronicities and electronic anomalies. His marriage ended, but he wrote a book, shared his story, and focused on helping others through grace and connections.
