Jeremy Down had two near-death experiences (NDEs). The first occurred when he drowned in a pond at age five. The second happened at age 25 due to an ectopic pregnancy and internal bleeding. During the second NDE, he fell into a lake during a snowstorm. He struggled to swim to shore while experiencing hypothermia. He felt a sense of detachment and said goodbye to his family, believing he would die.
