#315 - David Is Run Over By A Train And Has A Beautiful NDE

The Story
David Ditchfield was a struggling man in London with dyslexia and no qualifications when a train accident caused his near-death experience in 2006. He was seeing off his friend Anna at the station. The train doors trapped his coat, dragging him under the wheels. He tumbled violently but survived with severe injuries, especially to his left arm. In the hospital, David left his body and entered a darkened space with pulsating colored orbs. He lay on a huge rock, his body healed and covered in a blue sheet. He saw three grids of white light that healed his trauma. An androgynous being in a black t-shirt guarded him, joined by two female forms who healed his soul with waves of love, removing emotional baggage. He viewed a waterfall of stars into infinity. A tunnel of white light with rotating flames approached, revealing the source of creation and pure love. He crashed back into his body. After the NDE, David recovered quickly. He gained confidence and started painting and composing orchestral music about his experience, despite no training. He became a professional artist and musician, wrote a book, and learned to live in the present without guilt or fear.
“something I'd never felt in my life I'd about my family because I knew that they”
This NDE contains no veridical perception claims, such as observing specific physical events or details impossible to know through normal senses. The experience is purely spiritual/internal (lights, beings, tunnel), with severe physical trauma but no reports of corroborated OBE observations. Medical crisis was extreme but lacked confirmed clinical death or flatline.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
