Yvonne Nachtigal: On an Angel's Wing
What Researchers Found
The Story
Yvonne Noctenigal, a homeschool mother and ministry worker, experienced a near-death event during brain tumor surgery in 2011. The tumor caused symptoms like fatigue and loss of limb control. During the surgery, she awoke in a foreign place filled with glorious lights and warm colors like gold and auburn. She sat on an enormous angel's wing made of light, feeling overwhelming love and complete forgiveness for her past sins. She saw the angel's solid yet translucent structure and a brown spot from a prior protective intervention. She observed a multitude of people praying for her as three-dimensional silhouettes. A soothing voice announced that the petition was granted, and she returned to her body in the hospital. After the NDE, Yvonne wrote the book Glimpse of Glory, earned a journalism degree in 2021, and developed insatiable curiosity about science, spirituality, and the supernatural. She gained deeper faith, greater forgiveness, and a renewed appreciation for nature's beauty.
“is your light turn the light back on you there and it just may be that our nature”
The account features verified perceptions of a distant multitude praying for her (Petra band, 700 Club), confirmed post-NDE, during anesthesia in brain surgery, with an immediate report to nurses. However, veridical elements are limited to basic OBE view of surgeon and prayers, lacking ultra-specific details like hidden objects or conversations, and no remote physical access beyond the room.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
