Captain Heart: From LSD to NDE
What Researchers Found
The Story
Salvadora Adatsi, a professional sailor known as Captain Hart, had a near-death experience from a self-induced heart attack during a period of depression while recovering from addiction. He fell to the floor in his garage, felt his heart stop, and left his body. He moved through a black space, entered a tunnel toward a light, and arrived in a place of ecstasy and fulfillment where he felt he was life itself. He saw his light body and met a bright elder entity. They reviewed his life on a screen, pausing to explain choices, forks in life, and the absence of blame, leading to understanding and peace. He saw other souls, learned about universal consciousness, free will, and options for other worlds. He chose to return after being told to have fun and spread joy. After the NDE, Adatsi became heart-centered, valued time, followed joy and intuition, pursued sailing, wrote a book, started a YouTube channel on NDEs, and lived without fear of death, focusing on positive energy and helping others.
“come back for what might be a final life I was in my 20s during the 1960s and I”
This NDE features a severe cardiac arrest with clinical death symptoms but lacks any veridical perception claims, such as observing medical procedures or hidden details. All perceptions are limited to a vague out-of-body view of one's own body and garage, with no verification or specific, unpredictable elements reported. The evidential strength is undermined by the complete absence of corroborated external observations.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
