The Story
The experiencer was a family member visiting their dying mother in a nursing home in 1994 or 1995. The mother had a stroke while the experiencer set up a Christmas tree, causing her to become unconscious. The experiencer rushed to the mother, who gripped their hand before going limp. A man in his 50s, dressed like a UPS driver, appeared out of thin air, placed his hand on the mother's forehead, and disappeared seconds later. The experiencer thought they were insane and began crying. The room lit up on a dark, rainy day, and the man's shadow appeared on the wall where he stood before vanishing. The experiencer heard their deceased father's voice instructing them to call their brother in California to be with the mother. Another voice explained that the man was the mother's guardian angel guiding her to heaven. The experiencer called for an ambulance, and the mother lived a short time longer before dying. The experiencer remained amazed by the sudden supernatural events witnessed during the crisis.
