The Story
Russell Ricks was an 8-year-old boy born with complete agenesis of the corpus callosum, a neurological disorder causing social challenges and school abuse. After praying to God to stop the abuse or take him away, he fell asleep and experienced a near-death event. He floated out of his body, moved toward a bright light, and entered a spiritual realm in an aspen grove. There, he felt God's intense love, saw creation of the universe, heard music from vibrating plants and angels. He met Jesus Christ, who touched his shoulder, comforted him about fears, showed wounds, and took him to a golden city like a temple. Jesus promised lifelong support and sent him back. After returning, Russell felt God's love for months, which helped him endure abuse. He gained stronger faith, studied scriptures, wrote a book in 2017, and shared his story to help others with similar struggles.

This account lacks any veridical perceptions of real-world physical events or details during the OBE, such as medical procedures or hidden objects; instead, it features a spiritual visionary experience with later symbolic confirmations like matching temple murals, which are interpretive rather than evidential. Prompt reporting to family provides some temporal strength, but no impossible access or verified physical specifics limit the score. Childhood visions and deathbed senses are subjective and unverified against physical reality.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
