Robin Landsong: NDEs and PTSD
What Researchers Found
The Story
Robin Lansong, a teenager suffering from PTSD after a childhood kidnapping and shooting in Zimbabwe, experienced near-death events from parasympathetic shock. The first occurred while talking with her boyfriend. Her heart raced, she passed out, and found herself on rolling green hills. Her awareness rose to see a maze symbolizing her blocked heart. She surrendered and heard her Irish ancestors singing in an ancient language, promising to help her reconnect lost parts of herself. They returned her to her body. The second happened in her kitchen. She passed out again and lifted off Earth into space. She held onto a raft, later understood as a cell membrane, keeping her organized amid universal molecules. A golden tether connected her to Earth at her sacrum. She returned aware of ambulance workers and telepathically asked one to adjust her oxygen mask. After these NDEs, Robin studied trauma biology, became a craniosacral psychotherapist, and used music, art, and intuition to help over 16,000 people heal generational and personal trauma through sessions, books, and classes.
“knew my life was in danger and that he was capable of killing me at any moment”
The transcript features one potential veridical claim during a teen NDE: specific awareness of an off-kilter oxygen mask scraping the eyeball and a telepathic request prompting an attendant's precise responsive action during resuscitation. However, perceptual access was potentially possible via tactile sensation on her own face, with no verification attempts, confirmed details, or timely reporting documented, severely limiting evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
