Part 2 of 3: NDEs of Shaun Lether (leader of Hawaiian IANDS)

The Story
The person was a woman in her 50s living in Honolulu with a history of lung issues and financial struggles. In January 2018, severe pneumonia caused her oxygen levels to drop to 40-50%, leading to organ failure and hospitalization. This triggered her near-death experience. During the NDE, she left her body in the hospital holding room and saw her nurse as Saint Teresa of Avila in a past countryside setting, where the saint thanked her for helping fulfill her purpose of aiding transitions to the afterlife. She then entered the ICU, was intubated, and repeatedly left her body to reach a light directly, joining her deceased mother and God in unity. She viewed her body with compassion, realized her beliefs of unworthiness were false, and felt God's unconditional, non-judgmental love, learning that love and helping others matter most. A song urged her to release the past and renew. After the NDE, she studied spiritual texts, shared her story publicly, and gained a deeper sense of purpose and self-compassion.
“am at the light with my mother and God and I'm separate from them but also one”
The account features a severe medical crisis with low oxygen levels indicating near-death conditions, an OBE vantage point, and specific visionary details like the Saint Teresa basilica view and a garden location that matched later findings. However, verifications rely on self-research without third-party corroboration, and there are no confirmed perceptions of medical staff actions, conversations, or hidden details, limiting evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
