Near-Death Experience - Arthur Yensen - I Saw Heaven & It Changed My Life

The Story
Arthur E. Jensen was a university graduate in geology and a materialist who did not believe in religion or an afterlife. In August 1932, he had a near-death experience after a severe car accident near Pembina, North Dakota, while hitchhiking to Winnipeg. The car rolled multiple times, injuring him badly. During the NDE, Jensen left his body through the top of his head and entered a bright, beautiful heaven. He saw snow-capped mountains, a golden lake, green grass, and translucent trees. He met joyful people dancing and singing who greeted him warmly. They explained that heaven stays pure due to a master vibration that eliminates negativity and sorts souls by their goodness and love. Jensen felt weightless, ecstatic, and full of love. He recognized heaven as his true home but was told to return to Earth for important work during a time of confusion. After the NDE, Jensen's materialistic views collapsed. He remembered the experience vividly ten days later and accepted the reality of an afterlife. He shared his story despite ridicule, wrote a book about it, and taught biology while discussing spiritual matters with students. He had two more brief contacts with the spiritual world, which strengthened his beliefs.
