The Story
Pauline Glamachek was an 11-year-old girl in 1977 when she had a near-death experience. She tripped on a rock while running down a hill in the Mount Macedon Ranges and hit her head. She left her body and floated above it, feeling free and blissful. She rose through clouds into a tunnel of streaming stars toward a loving light. The light knew her and filled her with peace. She met joyful ancestors and saw beautiful rolling hills with playing children. She encountered Jesus, who laughed with delight and shared her ancestral story. She saw his crucifixion wound, experienced the crucifixion scene, and felt empathy for his mother. Jesus taught her compassion for all creation and that life is about love and focus. He showed her a life review through spiritual eyes and a vision of her future son. Seeing his sadness, she agreed to return. After returning, she told others about Jesus but doubted the experience for 45 years due to a doctor's dismissal. A second NDE confirmed it. She became a counselor, helping people integrate NDEs and overcome trauma. Her life gained spiritual depth and purpose.
“felt and the security that I felt in that they were ancestors. Now at the age”
This NDE includes a brief out-of-body experience during unconsciousness from severe head trauma, providing moderate medical severity and an impossible vantage point for perceiving the body and surroundings. However, perceptions are vague with no specific details, no verification attempts, no confirmed elements, and nothing unpredictable or precedented, resulting in low evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
