The Story
Jim Woodford was a successful Canadian pilot and businessman. In 2014, chronic pain from Guillain-Barré syndrome led him to overdose on medication in his truck, causing him to die clinically for 11 hours. He left his body and saw himself unconscious. He entered a tunnel of golden light and arrived in a paradise with perfect green grass and colorful flowers. To his left, he saw a dark chasm with fire and a demonic creature that chased him. He cried out to God for help, and three tall angels with violet eyes rescued him, filling him with peace and love. They showed him heavenly horses that glowed with light, a nursery for innocent children's souls, and halls of wisdom. He watched his guardian angel present his thin life book to Jesus, who knew him by name and commanded him to return and tell others of the wonders. After returning, Woodford became a devoted Christian. He shares his story through speaking and his book to inspire faith, help the poor, and live a life of service to God.

The NDE occurred during a severe medical crisis involving overdose, clinical death, no brain activity, and multi-organ failure, strengthened by a detailed out-of-body observation of the experiencer's own body from an impossible elevated vantage point with specific details like blood from mouth and nose. However, evidential strength is limited by the complete absence of verification attempts, no confirmed veridical perceptions, and no documented timely reporting prior to potential verification.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
