Jean Daly: NDEr, Empath, Healer

The Story
Jean Keegan Daly, a holistic health therapist and former nurse, experienced her near-death experience in 1988 due to severe hepatitis caused by an allergic reaction to herbs and a prior blood transfusion. She was alone in her hospital room, feeling very ill. During the NDE, she lifted out of her body and floated down a hallway on a floor of light. Large rooms on both sides filled with light and angelic beings appeared. She saw deceased relatives and patients, including her grandmother holding her nephew, a cousin, a 12-year-old girl who died in her arms, and others, all smiling and sending love. Translucent figures surrounded her with no pain or fatigue. A brilliant light at the end pulled her toward God and heaven. A voice firmly said, 'Not now, Jean. Go back. Sean needs you,' sending her back into her body. After the NDE, she understood the message meant her grandson Sean, born prematurely 12 years later, whom she helped daily with energy healing until he grew healthy. Her life transformed as she gained clearer visions, validated dying patients' experiences, and deepened her spiritual counseling and healing work.
“the light formed into a vision of mother and of course she was very important in”
This NDE features a classic out-of-body experience where the experiencer saw her own body from above during illness, but lacks any specific, verifiable details about the physical environment, medical procedures, or events beyond her bed. No verification attempts or confirmed perceptions are reported, limiting evidential strength to subjective spiritual elements only.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
