The near-death experience of Peter Anthony

The Story
Peter Anthony was a freelance image consultant for CBS News. In 1987, during a party on November 11, he suffered severe stomach cramps and bleeding from untreated ulcerative colitis. His intestinal tract burst, causing him to collapse at home. Rushed to the ER, he was initially refused care due to AIDS fears but was eventually treated. He lost too much blood and underwent surgery. During the NDE, he saw a spinning tunnel like a bullseye. He left his body and watched doctors work on him from above. Pulled into the tunnel by his solar plexus, he met deceased relatives and friends, including a youthful version of his third-grade teacher. He absorbed mathematical equations and quantum physics codes. Emerging in a tree, an advanced being showed him a panoramic life review from birth to death, revealing every moment's impact, like ignoring his sister's affection before her death and littering's environmental harm. In a cleansing station, he viewed Earth's wars, abuses of power, and kind acts. An entity of golden energy filled him with immense love and offered a choice to return after showing his future. He chose to go back. After waking from a 3.5-week coma, he rejected harmful medications, used herbs and vitamins for recovery, and refused further treatments despite a three-month prognosis. He regained health against odds. Psychic abilities emerged, allowing spirit communication and intuition. He left CBS to become a paranormal investigator, solved homicide cases, appeared on TV, wrote books, and lectured worldwide on his NDE. He lives gratefully, using law of attraction, promoting environmental care, love, kindness, and unity beyond divisions.
“back do you want to go back the voice said and I could look at all this anger”
The transcript describes a detailed out-of-body experience during surgery under deep unconsciousness, observing specific medical actions impossible from the patient's position, and a verified overheard conversation with a friend who was shocked upon recounting it. Evidential strength is high due to the specificity, impossibility of access, and one detailed self-reported verification, but limited by few verified elements and no independent witnesses to prompt reporting.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
