Man Dies; Gets Taught about Negative Thoughts During NDE

The Story
David Beckman had a near-death experience on July 17, 1988, during a white water rafting trip. The strong current pulled him under, bashed him into rocks, and exhausted him completely. He felt he was about to drown. During the experience, he whooshed to a painless place outside his body. He sensed a familiar being who communicated telepathically that he was okay. He followed the being and saw his life review from three views: his own, an omniscient one, and others' perspectives. He felt the joy and pain he caused people, like hitting a friend as a child. The being offered unconditional love with no judgment; he judged himself on cause and effect. He asked questions and received instant answers from universal knowledge. The being said he could stay or return to complete his life and soul contracts. He chose to return to avoid repeating lifetimes. He felt immersed in God's loving consciousness. He reentered his body and was rescued by a friend. After the NDE, David quit his unhappy IBM sales job and returned to journalism, getting a reporting position soon after. He lost fear of death, knowing his essence survives the body. He now enjoys life, stays close to nature, meditates daily, exercises, and trusts his intuition more. He aims to be loving and forgiving.
“felt the blow I felt how he felt and that was how we proceeded so every”
This NDE includes a claimed OBE observation of the specific rescue details from an impossible underwater vantage point during unconsciousness from drowning. However, the evidential strength is limited by the complete absence of any mentioned verification attempts, confirmed perceptions, or details on reporting timing. While medical compromise and perceptual specificity are moderately strong, lack of corroboration on key veridical elements prevents higher rating.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
