The Story
Walt from West Haven experienced a spiritual event during his wife Janet's death on September 4, 2013. Janet had been in the hospital for two weeks with low blood pressure. Walt was at the mall when his son called him to come to the hospital for important decisions. While driving to St. Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, speeding alone in his car, Walt saw a gray cloud in the passenger seat. It told him, 'You don't have to speed. I'll still be here when you get there.' He slowed down and arrived to find Janet had passed 20 minutes earlier. His son described her hand lifting as she said, 'I'm passing.' Walt believes it was Janet's spirit communicating. After this, Walt accepted her death peacefully. He felt grateful for the message that prevented rushing. He continued attending NDE meetings and is no longer afraid of death.

The primary claim involves an auditory message from the deceased wife received during conscious driving, with timing loosely corroborated by the son but lacking specific, verifiable details of impossible perceptions. No compromised medical state, vague description, and predictable content limit evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
