The Story
Robert Osgood, a 54-year-old electrician from Maine, experienced a near-death event during open-heart surgery in 2012. He received IV Versed, to which he was allergic, causing cardiac arrest, multiple organ failures, and a four-day coma. During this time, he had out-of-body experiences and near-death encounters. He left his body, traveled down a tunnel toward a light, walked paths with Jesus, and had a meaningful conversation. He was told to return to life. After the NDE, Osgood became disabled and could no longer work as an electrician. He found new purpose by connecting with other NDErs through online groups like Facebook, where he co-administers one. He shares his story to inspire others, writes a book about his experiences, and believes collective NDE insights can promote love and change the world for the better.
