The Story
Jacob Cooper was a three-year-old boy in 1993. He had undiagnosed whooping cough and suffocated while climbing a ladder at a playground, causing his heart to stop. He left his body and watched people try to revive him. He struggled to breathe, then surrendered and entered a tunnel with vibrations. He rose into a bright light filled with absolute love and peace. He met spirit guides, angels, and soul family members from past lives. He saw a palace symbolizing eternal creation and experienced a life review of his current and past lives, including one ending in suicide, with no judgment. He received premonitions of his future work and chose to return to fulfill his purpose. After the NDE, Jacob remembered the event clearly. He became a therapist, hypnotherapist, author of two books on his experience, and public speaker. He helps others find hope, remember their eternal nature, and live purposefully.
“entered the light and I felt my spirit rising at an infinite speed and rate as”
This NDE features a severe medical crisis (whooping cough leading to cardiac arrest and brain hypoxia) with basic OBE observation of the body and surroundings at the playground, but veridical claims are vague and expected (people screaming, calling name) with no specific details, verification attempts, or confirmed accuracies reported.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
