The Story
Walter Steck experienced a near-death event during complications from thyroid surgery in 2020. He had throat problems and an enlarged thyroid gland, which required surgery. After the first operation, internal bleeding occurred, leading to a second surgery. In the recovery room, he struggled to breathe and passed out as medical staff rushed around him. During the NDE, Steck saw beautiful pastel colors rising from his head. He felt light like cotton wool and free from his body. He experienced great happiness and realized he was dying, but it felt wonderful. He had no thoughts of his family or pain, just peace and lightness for about five to ten minutes. After waking from a coma the next day, Steck became more positive and grateful for life. He lost his fear of death, believing it could be wonderful. His faith in a higher power strengthened, and he appreciated his wife, friends, and peaceful life more. He now shares positive thinking with others.
