Peter Anthony's Extraordinary NDE
What Researchers Found
The Story
Peter Anthony was a successful celebrity image consultant working at CBS during the AIDS epidemic. He ignored a medical misdiagnosis, which led to severe bleeding at a birthday party in 1987. He collapsed in the ER and entered a near-death experience. During the NDE, Peter floated above his body on the operating table. A force pulled him through a rotating tunnel, where deceased relatives from past lives greeted him. He sped through colors, sounds, and numbers, gaining vast knowledge. He sat in a tree with an ascended master and reviewed his entire life with compassion, seeing missed chances like not telling his sister he loved her before her death and littering that harmed the environment. He visited a cleansing station, conversed with a loving energy he called God, and viewed Earth's problems like wars and pollution. Given a choice, he returned after seeing his future. After the NDE, Peter overcame stuttering, wrote books, lectured, and traveled to share his story. He now expresses love daily to family and friends and lives environmentally responsibly to avoid harm.
“and I could see everything began to slow down as though everything was put on the pause moment and could see in the corner the beginning stage is what I call the bull's eye began to rotate and”
The NDE involves a severe medical emergency with clinical unconsciousness and an OBE vantage point impossible for normal perception, including specific medical dialogues overheard. However, no verification of these perceptions is mentioned, no confirmed veridical elements, and no details on timely reporting, capping evidential strength at moderate.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
