My Journey to Christian Universalism

The Story
Melissa was a teenager raised in a strict Reformed Baptist church, struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts from age five onward due to teachings about eternal hell. At around age 18 or 19, shortly before leaving that church, she had an out-of-body experience. During the experience, her consciousness expanded and she encountered an infinite ocean of love and bliss matching her prenatal memories. She learned that God controls everything while allowing free will, desires to save all people, and ensures no one is eternally lost. Everything progresses toward good because God is all that exists. After the experience, Melissa initially suppressed it out of fear of New Age deception. Years later, it contributed to her spiritual awakening, leading her to embrace Christian Universalism. She gained trust in God's love and power, rejected doctrines of eternal punishment, and found lasting peace and purpose in her faith.
