The Story
Jim 'Bubba' Bae, a landscaper and gas station worker, had a near-death experience on November 15, 2009, after falling 14 feet into a culvert and landing on his head. He suffered 26 fractures. During the experience, Jim woke up bleeding and in severe pain. He called for help and saw his life flash before his eyes, thinking of his two deceased sons. He crawled up the steep embankment to the road. Exhausted, he lay on a log and closed his eyes. A bright light appeared, and he saw a fatherly figure he believed was God, accompanied by his two sons as he knew them. God answered Jim's question about the Bible, saying one does not need to know it to know Him, and told him to share the story with others. In the coma that followed, Jim had comforting dreams and a visit from a woman in white who confirmed his purpose. After the NDE, Jim co-wrote the book 'Miracle on Hammertown Road' and became an inspirational speaker. He now shares his story to help others and follows inner guidance from his faith.
