I Didn't Want to Come Back | The Near-Death Experience of Andy Petro | NDE

The Story
Andy was a 17-year-old high school student in 1955. He drowned while swimming to a platform during a class picnic at a lake near Detroit, Michigan. He sank to the bottom, hit weeds and mud, and heard a voice tell him to rest and let go. He shot out of his body into a warm tunnel filled with unconditional love. He saw his body below but did not care. A magnet pulled him into a large sphere where he reviewed his life on screens, reliving events and knowing others' thoughts and feelings. He entered a bright light that said, 'I love you, we love you, welcome home.' Billions of lights joined in, and he merged with the light, feeling oneness and knowing everything. The light told him three times to go back, and he returned to his body on the beach. After the NDE, Andy lied about it for 30 years until reading a book on near-death experiences. He now shares his story through talks and books. He lost fear of death, sees Earth life as a temporary play, chooses love over hate, became sensitive to others' feelings, downsized possessions, and meditates to connect with the light.
“I never told my parents I never I never told my wife I never until finally one”
This NDE lacks any specific, verifiable veridical perceptions of external events or details during unconsciousness. The only potential claim is an out-of-body view of his own body underwater, which is vague and unverified, with no attempts at corroboration for 30 years.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
