Bill Letson - NDEs and Experiences of Other Dimensions
What Researchers Found
The Story
John was a retired fireman who got sick from exposure to hazards on the job. He ended up in intensive care, and in the middle of the night, he left his body. During the NDE, he flew through a star-filled realm as a huge cloud of awareness. He felt euphoric and at home among welcoming, loving beings that looked like colored stars. He realized he had forgotten his true self. Then he landed in a solid place with indirect lighting and machines. Three hooded beings greeted him excitedly, giggling and asking questions. A taller, wispy being in charge smiled hugely, and they had fun interactions. They told him he could not stay and had to return. The dimension faded, and he went back into his body. After the NDE, he felt unhappy for days and kept the experience secret for 15 years. Books helped him cope. In 2010, after retiring, he read about DMT and pineal gland studies. He connected his experience to similar reports from volunteers, gaining insight into other dimensions and natural beings.
“i was home and uh i felt euphoric and that i was this earth guy and i had all”
This NDE lacks any veridical perception claims about observable physical events or details in the ICU that could be verified; instead, it describes fantastical otherworldly travel and encounters with non-human beings. Medical severity is the only moderately strong element, but absence of specific, verifiable, or confirmed perceptions limits evidential strength significantly.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
