The Story
Daniel Bertizzewski was a 19-year-old Russian-born American living in San Diego. He suffered from high blood pressure, fast heart rate, anxiety, chest pressure, and migraines. Doctors could not diagnose the cause and medications stopped working. While at a Russian Orthodox monastery near the Oregon border, he lay down for an afternoon nap and felt a crawling sensation out of his chest. He floated to the ceiling and looked down at his body. He had 360-degree vision and saw monks praying, feeling their sincere devotion. He realized it was his body and got sucked through the wall into a wormhole above Earth. He viewed wildfires in the Pacific Northwest, a city where he sensed multiple people's lives, Earth as a living being in pain, the galaxy, and then entered a white light with a golden sun representing God. He became a blue orb of consciousness and felt eternal unconditional love. Other orbs surrounded him, and one blue orb, like an eternal friend, showed him a film reel of Earth's history playing simultaneously, revealing the silliness of powerful people. He conversed with the golden light but did not want to return. He was sent back, reversing the journey, and slammed into his body, gasping for air. After the NDE, his medical issues vanished completely, healing him physically. It deepened his mystical experiences and shifted his views on religion.
“it was like i never left the place felt felt like it happened eons and neons ago”
The account features one notable veridical claim of remotely perceiving hundreds of wildfires across the Pacific Northwest from above Earth, accurately matching real 2007 events caused by lightning strikes, providing moderate specificity and access impossibility. However, evidential strength is limited by the absence of detailed verification methods, timing of the report relative to confirmation, and only one such claim amid many unverifiable perceptions, with a non-extreme medical state.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
