Are our loved ones really there to greet us when we die?

“When my grandmother passed away, back about 30 years ago, I was in my apartment at the time, and I didn't know that she'd passed away, but I really felt like she had come to see me.”45:43

“I was with her when she died. She passed in my arms, which I'd wished for. I'll never forget what happened right after. These are the moments that stay with you even decades later. My grandmother stopped breathing and I was holding a lifeless body. I suddenly thought, Oh God, I no longer love my grandmother. Hopefully no one is seeing this right now. I felt no connection to that body. I almost felt found out. Because everything I had ever loved, it was like a tin can with the fish already gone. And then came this moment that changed my life.”7:42

“And as I did this, the loved ones that had died before, my loved ones came to visit me, including a grandfather I had never met and never could meet.”22:03

“But this day that I went to the hospital, so I had been having visitations from the other side leading up to my near-death experience, and a lot of times they would come through. A lot of the times it was my loved ones from the other side, especially my grandma and my aunt and my niece that had passed away, came to me multiple times, giving me messages or giving me comfort.”3:00

“I knew that in their midst was my grandmother. I really felt this. The other two souls were waving, and I tried to approach them. I felt so much this love. It was all full of love, and it was such a pleasant feeling. I wanted to approach these three souls, but they told me, not in words, but from the heart, "No, your time has not yet come. You have to go back again."”2:25

“And I could see the opposite bank of this river, and as I saw it, I was amazed to see all of my loved ones who had passed away that were gathered together there. And I could just feel this sense of welcoming and love from them. And I saw my father who had died when I was seven, and my brother who had been killed in a car accident, aunts and uncles who had passed away and four people that I instantly knew were my four grandparents who I had never met in my life because they had all died before I was born. And I wanted to go and be with them so badly, and they wanted me to come there, and they were welcoming and so saying they were so glad to see me.”10:12

One of them put their hand out and I knew it was my grandmother. >> And when I looked up there's my family. Everybody that had been related to me, a part of my family, came to greet me in. My grandmother, Mary, was out front. She was bright, you know, she had a big”0:29

“close to, had passed away three years before in  1985. There was no way I could have recognized my great-grandmother since I had no picture of her  when she was 17 in 1895. But I knew them both. They wouldn't let me touch them, but they said I  wasn't ready and would see them again someday. About that time, the two huge doors opened.  Beings appeared that somehow I knew were angels. They wore very bright white and were very  tall—about ten feet or more. I was not frightened by their presence. They began to take groups  of people through these doors. I wanted to go,”8:08

“But I had seen the same family members in that near-death experience, but they were actually in the hospital room. They were in a group to the right, but my grandmother was standing next to me talking to me.”34:39

“So all our family members that pass away, that's what I saw. First thing I saw was my family members. And then after they greeted me for a little bit, you know, after they hugged me and, you know, we're all laughing, having a good time, and then after a while they're like, 'Okay, well, we'll see you in a little bit.'”1:25

“seemed longer. I met more family members who had passed away and pets from childhood. I saw amazing flowers that were bigger than we have on Earth and fields of green and blue seas. I also got to see my mother who was still alive because I wanted to go home. My grand said that I only had to think of her and I would be with her. She could not see me but I could see her again. I was told that this was not my time to die and was taken back to my body. The men who had assaulted me were scared and said, "She”2:09

“So you can be in the tunnel with others whom we love, and they can be four-footed or winged or fend. Another common element, not me. I didn't have any deceased loved ones. All of my grandparents were alive, all my cousins and parents and whatever. I had no one to greet me. But God darn, but lots and lots of people meet loved ones or spiritual beings. There is that light.”44:02

“And I remember thinking, 'Wow, where are my other loved ones? When can I see my grandparents, who had passed?'”3:03

“Where were the loved ones? Did you see your old relatives?”29:26

“Um, I was really close to my grandparents growing up. They lived a couple walks away from me, and so I spent a lot of time with them. And so it makes complete sense to me that she was there with me to protect me and comfort me, just be with me when I was leaving my body. I felt her multiple times before and after this experience, and so I know that she's around me. But I think she was sent especially because it would give me the, it would take away the worry of not knowing what was going on. And when I leave my body, I didn't, I felt more at home there than I did here. There's just this profound sense of going home whenever I leave. And so having her there was definitely comforting.”39:51

“What I saw is that when I met my grandfather, he was part of the unconditional love that I'd experienced in life. And he was the only person who had transitioned when I saw him. He gave me great peace. And I thought, 'Well, all I have is the memories of love with him. I don't have the memories in that place of his dying form, of what he looked like when he had leukemia. I just remember his soul's desire to write stories to me, to connect with me, to be that loving grandfather, to be that figure in my life that showed me that I was important.' And that was, that was beautiful. That's all that we had in that realm was the love that we had experienced.”37:53
