Chris's Descent Into Hell: A Music Producer's Warning About Lust

A former Atlanta producer's terrifying vision of hell's lust level changed everything

Thomas Wood·October 11, 2026·18 min read

Chris stood in what looked like a massive warehouse. A woman in a red dress turned to face him, her ten gold chains catching the light. She was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. Then she turned around. In an instant, the woman transformed into a seven-foot insectoid demon, those same gold chains still radiating from her grotesque form. 'God told me you would come here,' the demon said. 'I got to tell you something. Follow me.' What Chris saw next in the depths of hell would shake him to his core and end his ten-year silence about an experience he could barely comprehend.

Chris's Descent Into Hell: A Music Producer's Warning About Lust

The Party House

Chris grew up in a nice Atlanta suburb, an only child whose parents ran a successful house cleaning business. "I was very spoiled from a young age," he recalls. "Whatever I wanted, they would get it." But that freedom came with a cost he couldn't see at the time.

He attended Christian school his entire life, sat through chapel and Bible class, knew all about God and Jesus. But by his mid-teens, Chris had made a private deal with the divine: "Okay, God, I know you're real. Jesus Christ, I know you're real. I do believe you died for my sins, but I'm going to live my life the way I want to live, and then later on when I'm older in the future, I'll give my life to you," he remembers thinking.

When his parents divorced and he moved in with his father at 14, those doors swung wide open. His dad was a heavy sleeper. "Me and all my friends, my house was like the get-together place," Chris says. "There would be like 15, 20 of us that would gather when my dad would go to sleep... we'd have girls come over, we'd sneak drugs in, alcohol and just party."

But something else lived in that house. Shadow people. Entities that walked the hallways at night. "It was haunted," Chris states matter-of-factly. His friends would wake up terrified, having seen shadows cross doorways. Once, Chris and his father both watched a shadow person walk across the living room in the middle of a TV show. His dad's response? "Hey, tell that ghost he owes me some money because he can't be living rent-free in this house," Chris laughs, remembering.

They later discovered Chris's great-grandmother had practiced what the family called "white magic." "Anything outside of what God gives you is demonic," Chris now understands. "That led to a lot of doors opening in my life."

The Music and the Darkness

Chris was good at producing music. Really good. His father built him a bedroom studio in the backyard, and by 16 or 17, he was making tracks for famous Atlanta artists, some who are "still on top" today. But the music industry exposed him to what he calls "a dark life."

"I was 17 years old and I think I was 17 the first time I went into a strip club," he recalls. "I was always the youngest kid everywhere that we went."

The night terrors intensified. Shadow beings would appear while he was in sleep paralysis. "Some points it'd be on my chest," Chris says, his voice tightening at the memory. He started using drugs heavily just to sleep, to avoid the terrors that waited in the dark.

He got involved with a crew of people deeply tied to the streets. His childhood friends backed away, warning him these were bad influences. But Chris was always intoxicated, never thinking clearly. "I was the cash cow," he explains. "I was the one supplying everything. I was the one that knew how to mix and master. I was the one most importantly putting up the money for everything."

Then came the girlfriend who would become his wife, a strong Christian woman who started opening his eyes. When Chris finally told his crew he wanted out, they acted cool about it. "Yeah, no problem, man. We understand," they said.

A week later, his phone rang. An unknown number. "Hey, this is so and so. I don't know what you got yourself into, but somebody just called me and said that they put money on your head," the voice said. Then: "It's nothing personal, man," and the line went dead.

The person who'd ordered the hit? Someone Chris had treated like a brother, someone who'd lived in his studio for two or three years, someone he'd fed and clothed. "From that day forward, my drug use got so much heavier," Chris admits.

The Baptism

For months, Chris hid. He disconnected his social media, stopped answering friends' calls. Unknown numbers rang constantly. His father reported vans outside the house, people in hoodies banging on doors, leaving threatening notes.

Chris hit bottom. He got clean on his own, a dangerous process of cold turkey detox from prescription pills and alcohol that lasted 30 days. When his wife invited him to Victory World Church in Atlanta for her baptism, something shifted.

Standing in the pews, Chris prayed: "God, I know you're here. I know you've been with me. I know I've been running from you, but Father, if you want me to give my life to you at this very moment, I need to trust you that all my previous problems, all of the people that are coming after me that have threatened my life, my family's life, I pray that all this ends today," he remembers.

Walking toward the baptismal pool, Chris saw him. The guy who'd put the hit out. Standing right there. "This guy has nothing to do with church," Chris says. "Tattoos everywhere... just crazy looking guy."

Every emotion flooded through Chris at once. Fear. Rage. The urge to run. Then: "I just heard a voice inside my head that said, 'Just do it,'" he recalls.

He walked past the man, head held high, and stepped into the water. As he came up from the baptism, "I heard an audible voice say, 'I just anointed you and prepared a table for you in front of your enemies,'" Chris says, his voice filled with wonder even years later.

God hadn't removed his enemies. He'd done something better. "I'm going to let them know that you're my child and that they cannot touch you. I just anointed you in front of them. Literally in front of them," Chris understood.

Walking past the man again, all he got was a head nod, a salute. "That is the last day I've ever heard of this guy," Chris says.

The Vision of Lust

Years later, married and running a personal fitness business, Chris started experiencing vivid spiritual dreams. He'd always been a dreamer, something his mother and grandmother recognized as a gift. One night, after watching a video about someone struggling with pornography addiction and seeing demonic entities, Chris prayed: "God, if this is real, if this is how serious pornography is or lust and everything, just give me a sign," he asked.

That night, he entered what he knew was a vision, not a dream. "It felt just like how I'm talking to you right now. I could feel, I could touch, I could smell, I could hear," Chris describes.

He found himself in a massive warehouse, like an adult store. "I see the most beautifulst woman I've ever seen in my life," he recalls. "She was petite, blonde hair, she was wearing a red dress. And she had chains, she had like 10 gold chains that were radiating."

"She turned around and as she turned around, she turned into a 7-foot insectoid looking being. It was a demon," Chris says. But he knew it was still her because of those same gold chains, now radiating from the grotesque form.

"God told me you would come here. I got to tell you something. Follow me," the demon said.

What Chris saw as they walked deeper into the warehouse horrified him. Parties. Raves. "Orgies going on. And the deeper we got, the worse it got," he remembers.

Then the demon showed him something else. "It was just a line of like hundreds of people just standing in line at a kiosk," Chris describes. At this kiosk, people could type in their deepest, darkest desires. A portal would open to a room where those desires were being acted out. The person would walk in, the portal would close. Next person. Over and over.

"Essentially what this was was pornography," Chris realized.

The demon laughed. "You humans are pathetic," she told him. "You guys claim to follow God, but you guys love these type of desires and it is so easy to control and manipulate you guys."

Then came the devastating truth: "We don't even have to do anything because you guys are killing yourselves. You guys are killing your soul yourself," the demon said, laughing.

"Every time you fall into these desires, into lust, you make us stronger on our side," the demon explained, those gold chains radiating brighter and brighter.

Chris woke up and hit his knees. "God, I'm so sorry. I repent. I rebuke lust. I rebuke all of this. I rebuke pornography. Like, help me get out of this," he prayed. "I had no idea how dark it was," he admits.

The next day at the gym, a client got quiet when Chris shared the vision. "Man, you don't know this, but I've been struggling with this," the man confessed. He pulled up an image on Instagram of the demon of lust wearing a red robe with golden chains. "That's what I saw. That's the same thing that I saw in my dream," Chris confirmed, stunned.

The Furnace and the Shadows

Another vision came unbidden. Chris found himself in a mall, walking into an adult store. A door in the back opened, revealing witchcraft symbols, a pentagram lighting up. "As we walked through the door, it was just a flash of white," he describes.

On the other side: silence. An orange desert landscape. "It looked like Mars," Chris says. "Very uncomfortably quiet and it felt like a void."

"There was a furnace in the ground. It was a stairwell leading to the furnace," he recalls. People walked down, and "fire would just erupt and I would hear their screams. I could feel the fire on my arm. That's how real it was," Chris says. "These people were being incinerated just every time one would walk down the stairwell," he describes, his voice heavy.

Another flash. Now they were in a purple swamp, water pitch black, coming up to Chris's chest. Shadow beings appeared, the same ones he'd seen in his father's house. "They just jumped on those people and started just nashing. It was just the nashing and clawing, just being bitten and torn apart by these little shadows," Chris recounts.

But here's what struck him: "Their skin would regenerate and they would be screaming. It was a constant thing over and over and over again," he says, describing the eternal nature of the torment.

The shadow beings turned their attention to Chris. They tried to attack him, but "I had like a golden aura around me and I noticed that they couldn't," he explains. "They would nash, they would try to scratch me, but it was just like a bubble was around me."

"I woke up and I was like, 'Oh man, that was crazy.' I was like, 'What's this?' And I think that was hell," Chris concluded.

The Golden Aura

In another dream, Chris stood on the roof of his father's house, that place where so much darkness had unfolded in his youth. The realm had that purple undertone he'd come to recognize as the spirit world. Three massive owl-like beings with human faces circled above, six or seven feet tall, swooping down like predatory birds.

"One of them swooped down trying to attack me and got hit like just literally full speed poof and I heard a boom," Chris describes. The creature was furious it couldn't reach him. "It had a human look, like a very deformed human face in an owl body," he recalls. It screamed in his face, its mouth opening impossibly wide.

One after another, all three beings tried to attack. Each time, they hit an invisible barrier. Each time, they screamed in rage.

Chris looked behind him. "I saw like a seven-foot or eight-foot angel covered in gold with a huge staff standing behind me and that's where the golden bubble, the aura was radiating from," he says.

This, Chris believes, is the reality for every person who truly gives their life to Christ. "When you are anointed by God, when you repent and give your life to Christ and walk this walk, we're protected," he explains. "There are a lot of people that wish to harm us. Whether it be witchcraft or demons, entities, spirits, they want to harm us and take control of us. But when we are protected by God, they cannot touch us unless we give them a foothold," Chris emphasizes.

The Message

Chris held these experiences inside for more than ten years. He built a new life, married the woman who stood by him through everything, started a personal fitness business where he helps people struggling with the same battles he fought. But he felt God telling him the time was right to share.

When asked what he'd tell someone struggling with lust or addiction, Chris doesn't mince words: "Every time we give into those desires, whether it be lust or any other type of addiction, we feed principalities and spirits and demons on the other side, which the spirit realm is much more real than the physical realm," he explains.

"If you give into that desire, just know that you're losing the battle against good and evil. You're giving them a foothold in authority in your life," he warns.

His solution? "Always pray, be in constant prayer," Chris advises. "When my prayer life is minimal, the attacks are greater. I have a hard time overcoming certain things. But when prayer is everything I focus on, even if I'm just praying throughout the day, everything seems to be going good. I feel strong in my spirit," he says.

When temptation comes, Chris has learned to physically remove himself. "I literally have to remove myself from that environment," he explains. "I go on a walk or go ride my bike and talk to God and pray to God like, 'God, please help me overcome this.'"

He's clear-eyed about the ongoing nature of the battle. When asked if he still struggles after the visions, Chris answers honestly: "Yes. Yes, I did. But I knew the severity of it. I knew it was deeper than what I thought it was," he admits.

But something fundamental changed. He saw the chains. He saw what feeds on human weakness. He saw the golden aura of protection available to those who choose a different path.

What This Reveals

Chris's story (read more about Chris) offers something rarely discussed in near-death experience literature: a detailed look at what some experiencers describe as lower spiritual realms or hell. While most NDEs focus on the light, the love, the beauty of higher dimensions, Chris was shown the other side of the spiritual equation.

Several elements of his experience align with patterns we see across thousands of accounts:

First, the transformative power of direct spiritual experience. Chris didn't just hear about these realities in a sermon or read about them in a book. He experienced them with the same sensory clarity as physical reality. This is the hallmark of genuine spiritual experience: it carries a weight of certainty that no amount of intellectual argument can provide.

Second, the protective presence. That golden aura, the angel with the staff, the voice at the baptism saying "I just anointed you" — these mirror countless NDE accounts where experiencers describe being protected by spiritual beings or divine presence. The barrier between Chris and the attacking entities wasn't his own strength. It was grace, freely given.

Third, the reality of spiritual warfare. While mainstream culture often dismisses talk of demons and spiritual battle as medieval superstition, Chris's experiences (and those of many others) suggest something more nuanced. Whether we interpret these beings literally or as symbolic representations of destructive spiritual forces, the core message remains: our choices have consequences that ripple into dimensions we can't normally perceive.

Fourth, the chain imagery. Those gold chains on the demon of lust, radiating brighter with each soul that gives in to those desires — this is a powerful metaphor (or literal reality) for how our individual choices feed collective spiritual forces. We're not isolated actors. We're participants in a larger spiritual ecosystem.

What makes Chris's account particularly valuable is his honesty about ongoing struggle. He didn't have a vision and instantly become perfect. He saw hell, saw the demons, understood the stakes, and still fights daily battles with temptation. This is the reality of spiritual transformation: it's not a magic fix but a daily choice to align with higher purposes despite our weaknesses.

The most hopeful element of Chris's story isn't the visions of hell — it's the vision of protection. That eight-foot angel standing behind him, staff in hand, radiating golden light. This is the promise available to everyone: we're not alone in this fight. We're not abandoned to face these forces with only our own strength.

Chris's final prayer captures the heart of his message: "We choose to pick up the cross and walk this path each and every single day," he says. Not once. Not in a moment of crisis. Every single day.

The spiritual realm, Chris learned through fire, is more real than the physical world. The battles we think we're fighting in flesh and blood are shadows of deeper conflicts. And the protection we need is already available, radiating golden light, standing at our backs with a staff in hand.

We just have to choose it. Every single day.
